Every year the cooperative is required to conduct an annual meeting of the membership. The purpose of the meeting is to hold an election of directors, share financial information and provide a cooperative update. Being a cooperative means we’re owned by you, our members.
Following the events of 2020 and a unique drive through event, we were excited to return to a familiar in-person format.
This year’s entertainment included the bluegrass band Hammertowne, and they did not disappoint! Members were able to enjoy a meal by Chick-fil-A, soft serve ice cream from Thornburg Concessions, and shaved ice from Kona Ice. Door prizes were given away throughout the evening, having unlimited access to the petting zoo, a video game trailer and an inflatable bounce house and obstacle course. In addition to this, children had many opportunities to win prizes of their own.
The evening concluded with a business meeting to elect directors in District 3, 6 and 9. While District 3 and 6 were uncontested, District 9 was a well fought battle resulting in the incumbent, Jill Koch, being re-elected.
As a cooperative, we strive to be a member-focused provider. The Annual Meeting is one way we can do that, and our way of saying thank you. We are here to serve you, a fact we never take for granted. It is our privilege to provide reliable and affordable energy alongside exceptional service to all members
